For preliminary design and educational use. Results follow the simplified equations of IEEE Std 80-2000 (unchanged in 80-2013) for uniform soil and must be checked and sealed by a licensed electrical engineer before construction. Irregular grids, two-layer soil and transferred-potential hazards need detailed computer analysis.
